The Dayton VA quite literally saved my life. I've had my medical needs met there since 2007 and I can't say enough about how much I appreciate all of those involved in my care. The improvements are continuous and they strive to be cutting edge and relevant.
Typical government run agency. Staff could care less about the veterans. Couldn't even get registered for benefits. Wasted an entire day. Had the forms filled out before arriving and it still took all day. Still wasn't able to get an appointment and they messed up my enrollment so after taking the day off from work at my expense accomplished nothing. Complete waste of time. Seems like they just jerk you around until you give up and leave so they can get back to there phones. Your tax dollars at work
I visited the emergency room today for a sore foot. Dr. Gabriele, nursing staff, xray staff and pharmacy staff were thorough, efficient and provided excellent timely medical care! I greatly appreciated their professionalism and concern! This is the care a patient wants! Thank you!!!!!
Behind the VA Hospital is Lakeside Park (sometimes called the VA Grotto) and it is worth a visit. The roots of this park go all the way back to the 1860s and 70s just after the civil war. It fell into disrepair during the 1930s but is now being restored. It is quite pretty with a few very historic structures.
Staff here is great!Nurses usually are great!Might need to work on their blood draws a little more but as long as they caring and realize that no more than twice is enough we are okay!Starbucks on the other hand and the Cafeteria suck!People who work their act like they are on drugs or don’t really want to wait on people!Get better staff at the cafeteria and Starbucks we will all be better off!!!!
I was very impressed with the health care I received. Green team and men's ward on the 4th floor doctor's and nurses handled there business. Job well done!
There is quite a bit of administrative incompetence going on but once you are able to overcome that leave Medical Care here is beyond reproach. The staff that work the medical profession here are caring compassionate and genuinely loving people who really care about veterans for sure. But it's really sad let every time I I drive the 9.7 miles from my home to the hospital I pass at least 5 homeless veterans holding signs on the street corners begging for food and shelter. And it really makes me mad when I get to the entrance to the VA and there are sometimes three or for veterans with signs right outside the gate begging for change that are homeless and hungry. And then you can look right inside from where they're standing and see multi-story housing buildings boarded up with no one staying in them. It will be interesting to see if the bill that President Trump just signed addressing the suicide rates of veterans actually puts any of these veterans into this boarded-up eyesore on campus at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
